Shear Standards of Grooming offers a variety of training classes and public events from at-home grooming maintenance to specialty coats and styles. Classes are held at the Shear Standards of Grooming salon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, located just off Highway 30.

    ANY GROOMING APPOINTMENT EARNS YOU ONE TICKET between March 1st and March 31st. Make a donation of $5 or more to earn additional tickets! 

    All proceeds will be donated to The Dragonfly Transplant Fund in honor of Donate Life Month in April. 

    DETAILS: Promotion runs April 1 through April 15, 2026. Grooming value up to $180. Donations are accepted via cash or check during normal business hours or debit/credit card at the time of service.

  • Dog Wash Day to benefit Cedar Valley Humane Society

    Sunday, July 19th | 10:00AM to 1:00PM

    We’re hosting a Dog Wash Fundraiser Parking Lot Party to support the Cedar Valley Humane Society! This summer, bring your four-legged friends for a fun morning of soapy suds, tail wags, and community love.

    HOW IT WORKS: We’ll have two wash stations running at a time with professional groomers and volunteers ready to pamper your pup. Baths only (no blow drying or trims), but plenty of gentle towel-drying and happy energy! Pre-register online to reserve a spot and verify your pet’s vaccination records (Parvo, Distemper, and Rabies required) HERE.

    Registration is also available on-site the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Wristbands will match owners with their dogs, and donations start at $50 per bath to help even more pets find loving homes.

    This is more than just a dog wash…it’s a full-on parking lot party! Enjoy food trucks, music, giveaways, and fun vendors like The Barkery, Tails A Wagg’n, Furever Bandanas, and 4RK9s! The team at Quinton’s will open their patio for pups and offer summer specials, and we’ll have a supply drive area to support Cedar Valley Humane Society.
